How To Choose A Wedding Venue
Here are a few things to consider when selecting your wedding venue.
The size of the venue and capacity
How many guests do you intend to have at your wedding? The venue you choose will need to have enough capacity to host that number of guests. Consider that there might be different capacity limits for the ceremony and the reception.
The location of the venue
Is the venue conveniently located? Is it easy to get to by vehicle or even public transportation? Is there parking?
The cost of the venue
Budget will always play a factor for most people when it comes to choosing a wedding venue. Start by defining your budget up-front and then selecting from a short list of venues in your price range.
The availability of the venue
Some venues are booked out months or even years in advance. Once you select your wedding date you’ll need to contact your preferred venue to understand if they are available for booking on that day.
You may need to be a bit flexible on your date if you strongly prefer a particular venue that is not available on your original date.
Also, consider booking in the offseason when availability tends to be higher and costs tend to be a bit lower.
The amenities offered by the venue
Consider what each venue has to offer in terms of amenities and services to meet the needs and vision of your big day.
The reputation of the venue
The reputation of the venue is very important. Read reviews to understand what past guests have experienced. Does the venue offer great service and address issues to help make your wedding day as smooth as possible?
