Best Bubble Tea In Toronto

“This brand new place opened up recently. It’s a well known bubble tea cafe with origins in Taipei. They’re known for their signature handmade brown sugar pearls and grass jelly.

Drink options include purple yam milk with brown sugar, purple rice smoothies, pineapple iced tea, taro bubble tea, Thai milk tea and brown sugar bubble tea.

I had the signature brown sugar bubble tea with oat milk making it a terrific non-dairy plant based option.

Best of all was that I could determine my level of sweetness and amount of ice. Verdict – loved it! It was a great treat.

Service was super friendly. They helped to guide me through the options.”

“The staff here are always welcoming and friendly. They even bring you the bubble tea to your table once it is ready. It’s rare to see a bubble tea shop focus so much on service. They have some refreshing drinks such as Lychee Paradise and Grapefruit Aloe Citrus Tea. The Thai Style Milk Tea is pretty good as well. They have cute decor and lots of space to hang out or to study. The place is always clean and has good lighting. What’s special about this place are the giant swings which you can sit on. They also have free wifi. Another good thing is that they open the latest out of all bubble tea shops in the area. Overall, it’s a nice environment and I would highly recommend this place :)”

“This place has THE BEST customer service. I’ve been here a total of 4 times now since they first opened. I tend to find service at bubble tea places are quick and to the point. However the staff here are consistently friendly and welcoming, it’s a nice change! Even better, their drinks taste great and they always have some sort of special going on so you can try different drinks at discounted prices :). I’ll definitely be coming back to try new drinks and to get my favourite, their brown sugar milk tea!”

“A second visit in a short amount of time and my wife and I loved our second drink selections as much as our first time (maybe more).

We ordered:
– Brown Sugar Torched Cheese Foam Milk (left)
– Oreo Cheese Creme (right)

The baristas were polite and knowledgeable about the drinks. They were careful and precise in putting the drinks together.

We were offered the special dome lids so we could enjoy the creme layer at the top.

Very happy with the visit and will return before long for another treat!”

“I absolutely love this bubble tea shop. I been to and tried many bubble tea places, but the Alley ranks as my #1 spot for boba. The Deerioca series bubble tea is to die for. It’s made with brown sugar, fresh milk, and brown sugar soaked tapioca. Sounds simple, but the flavors are explosively delicious. I recommend trying the Deerioca Fever or Puff. I consider them as their signature drinks and something that makes the Alley stand out from other bubble tea shops. The Alley – it’s time for tea.”

I tried the rose milk tea and was pleasantly surprised. Funny enough, it actually tastes like roses but in a subtle sweet way. Definitely recommend!! 🌹

“I got the mango black milk tea from here and it was great! Really refreshing but a little too sweet (I got the regular sweetness), however they offer customizations for how sweet you want your drink and how much ice you want as well. There are so many different options to choose from and the staff were very friendly! My only suggestion is to be more active on social media as I personally like looking at different menu options before I go into a store. Overall, I definitely recommend this place!”

“The crazy scientist of bubble teas in Toronto – and I mean that as the highest of compliments. Song Tea mixes together ingredients that can make a skeptic out of any foodie, but upon the first sip turns them into an unabashed fan scraping up every last bit of cheese creme that remains.

It’s decadent, yet restrained. Their yolk tea is the perfect combination of sweet and salty, and topped with the cheese creme it becomes a silky treat that puts sugar cravings into a deep and plentiful hibernation.

“i had passed by here many times while driving, so we finally stopped by to check them out. first of all, it is independently owned and operated by a very friendly vietnamese girl! her staff is super friendly too!

we had the matcha slush w.grass jelly, coconut milk with yogurt and grass jelly, and their strawberry slush w.bear jelly!

drinks are made to order, customizable by sweetness and ice levels. definitely coming back here to try the rest of their menu!”

“Small location, homemade tapioca is really nice. The texture is soft and chewy. They have nice flavours and variety, you can choose different levels for ice and sugar.

There’s not a lot of seating, and currently they’re doing a special promo of 10% off when you show them you follow them on either Facebook or Instagram.

“Had the Dirty Matcha Latte with 100% Ice and 25% Sugar, and it was pretty good. Just the right level of sweetness given that the cup itself was decorated with brown sugar syrup. You can definitely taste the Matcha Milk as it’s not overwhelming milky. What makes this drink especially good is the tapioca. As OneZo specializes in making their own tapioca, it helps compliment the overall experience of the drink with chewy and sweet pearls (they cook/preserve their tapioca in brown sugar). The only concern is that for a $6 drink, the size is rather small. All in all, it was a good drink.”

“Just down the block from Eaton Centre is this small boba shop serving up one of the best brown sugar bobas in the city. Perfect treat to satisfy the thirst after a day of shopping.

[Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Cream Mousse] – This is our go to drink, however they’ve come out with lots of different versions and toppings now that I really want to try out but haven’t yet. I love that their brown sugar is thick, so you can really taste the brown sugar. The cream mousse gives it a perfect thickness that just makes the drink so creamy. Unlike most places, when you order a Brown Sugar Milk it just taste like lightly coated brown sugar pearls with regular milk. For me, its more of a dessert drink than a light milk tea drink as it is a bit on the heavy side. Happy that they now have multiple locations around like their highway 7 location in commerce gate which is close to me.

Overall, I recommend if you’re into brown sugar boba drinks :)”

“Very high quality Bubble Tea. I got the bestseller which is Black Sugar Coffee Jelly plus Boba plus Pearl with Cream Mousse. I give it a 9.5 out of 10.

The cashier/owner was really friendly and explained everything well.

Only thing I didn’t like is that ice and sugar cannot be customized to your liking (I like less ice and more sugar).

Keep in mind it is a tiny place so you can’t sit down; just pick up and go.”

First time trying this bubble tea chain that’s expanded here from Asia. I visited the pleasant Chinatown location, now among its 6 current GTA shops. They offer various fruit teas and bear /lightbulb bottles.

I was hooked by the brown sugar Brûlée BoBo in XL size! The extra tall drink (1L) contains a perfect amount of bouncy brown sugar boba, cream and a crisp brûlée layer on top. Completely filled my thirst for bubble tea.

Pro-tip that I learned, this drink is mainly milk. But if you want true milk tea, order with Roasted Oolong from the hidden menu for a completely different taste next time!”

“Had bubble tea for the first time in my life here. Cozy, neat place with good lighting and cool atmosphere. I don’t like sweet stuff and their drinks are tasty but not sweet. I couldn’t really taste anything out of the tapioca balls in the bottom, but overall I enjoyed my drink. Went for the roasted oolong in the lightbulb and really liked it. Would definitely go back.”

“Edit: this bubble tea shop really deserves more hype. I’ve been frequenting this place a lot more because it is hands down my favourite spot for bubble tea. Their tapioca is perfect every single time. I usually get a regular pearl milk tea with oat milk. Most places have a hard time making an oat milk bubble tea taste good. I’ve found that it usually takes a few times to figure out how to customize an oat milk tea at each shop but HIGHER nails it every time. Even if oat milk is not your thing, their regular bubble teas are always perfect and I’ve never had a bad experience here.

First review: Got the oolong milk tea with golden pearls and it was perfect! It seems like they sweeten the pearls rather than the tea itself and I typically don’t like most places that do that but I really liked the way they did it, felt like a good balance for the drink. It’s definitely
a little pricier but I think it’s worth it. New fav bubble tea spot for me for sure!”

“Waited 40 mins on a Sunday afternoon during a long weekend. Had no expectations for this place, and only lined up because we saw that there was a lineup. Was intrigued by the shampoo-bottle style drinks. Had a slightly more interesting menu compared to the usual bubble tea chains like Chatime. Gimmick is definitely the limited bottled drinks (there was a sign saying only 120 bottles are made a day and every customer is limited to one cup beverage and one bottled beverage). Watched the employees mix drinks for a good 10 minutes and appreciated their tidy stations, and efficiency. Everyone knew their jobs, and there wasn’t yelling or cross-talk. Saw that they used real Natrel cream, a soda stream, and fresh fruit. Whatever issues they had during opening, has probably been ironed out for the most part. They did get one of our drinks wrong, but quickly remade it and it tasted very fresh and flavourful (strawberry slush with cream foam). Would come back for more fruit drinks for sure. Oolong tea was also very concentrated and flavourful, did not taste like it came from powder or artificial flavouring. Fizzy passion fruit jasmine tea was also refreshing and delightful; did not taste artificial or watered down. Worth the 40 mins wait, but not the 2 hours some other reviewers have claimed. It was pretty stuffy inside as well, with all the rail lights and over 40 bodies packed into a narrow store space though there were high ceilings. Liked their aesthetic a lot.”
